Great location. Recommended for backpackers who just need a place to sleep.

It's a budget hostel, and I don't have high expectations, but so far, I think the experience has been above average. Digital lockpads at the staircase and on the door of each room provide extra security. The bed was comfy for me, and its length is sufficient (I am around 170cm). The air conditioning is strong enough. Across the road, there is a shopping mall with a supermarket (Fairprice) and eateries where you can get your toiletries and food. It is located very near Chinatown MRT station.

The bed frame is a bit shaky when your roommate moves slightly, requiring extra gentleness when turning to my side while sleeping. There isn't enough space to open a suitcase; it's more suitable for backpackers. The shower and toilet are a bit small. Reception is not open 24 hours.

Overall good value for Singapore but don’t expect luxury

Great location in the heart of Chinatown - walking distance to many attractions and hawker centres and the MRT is across the road. Having hostel / room access on my phone was super handy (though less handy for my boyfriend who had to use the codes as we couldn’t get the keys to work on his phone). Staff were responsive when needed.

Check in was super confusing as the app didn’t load our keys before we arrived. The toilets were pretty dirty and really messy, with stuff all over the benches. The showers were pretty small and gross and the toilet was leaking for the first day so it always had puddles of water on the floor (in saying that, when I messaged the staff about it, they fixed it immediately). It just didn’t seem like they were cleaning the bathroom very often as it was broken for at least 24 hours.

Perfect location

Great location! Very close to the china town station. The bed was comfortable and the staff is very friendly and funny!

The room is too small. It was packed with bunk beds and just a little bit of space left to walk. The restrooms were fine, but the showers could be a bit bigger. But they did clean them! All the bunk beds had curtains besides mine, by the way.

Freezing cold room to beat the SG heat

Very cold room - great after walking around Singapore. Little table in the outside bit was great to sit at. Bathrooms are pretty tropical- wide windows you can see the city from. Not air conditioned bathrooms.

The common area at night felt a little sketchy - mostly men all the time. No one was laughing or joking. Perhaps long termers. You have to key in a code to get in but there wasnt any 24/7 reception. I would of felt saver with someone at the desk. I didn’t know if the men hanging out the front were guests or not. So yeah, as a female, would of loved a 24/7 staff attending the desk. Or some lights out the front. Not many cheap hostel options in SG, might stay at a hotel next time, even if its more expensive.

Great price/value stay in Singapore

Location, Technology, Clean Bathrooms, great price for Singapore.

Lack of staff at some times (I had to sleep without a blanket on my first night since there was no one to ask for one). Rooms are messy probably due to the fact that lockers are too small for people to store everything inside them

A week long stay with beary best hostel

The guy receptionist is very helpful when I first check-in and through out the stay. The location is very convenient as it's just a min away from Chinatown MRT.

Still not used to sharing room with others so does gets a bit on my nerve when other are too noisy or snore during sleep.

Wonderful

It was the first time we tried a Bunk bed and we really loved it. The bed are pretty good at from outside and the ventilation inside is more than sufficient. We didn't feel claustrophobic at all. The service here is pretty good too- they promptly replied to our messages. The place is also a stone's throw away from the Chinatown MRT stop, so it's easy to get to (or 27 SGD from the airport by Grab).

It's fine to stay for one night but not long term.

Old school hostel. Nostalgic as I used to have metallic double deck bunk bed like when I was growing up. Management used GOKI apps to open doors to main entrances.

Cleanliness of toilet. Self help DIY bed sheets found in the locker for you to use. Dorm mates very messy looked like they are going to stay for long and make it like their home.

Just what I needed as a budget tourist!

Absolutely loved the facilities available it was enough for me; the staff were really accomodating as well! Shout-out to the young Malay guy and the Malay lady (I forgot their names T-T), they were really friendly and made me feel at home!

Can't help it for this one - it's an old building so naturally there's a old building smell as well as humidity smell However for me I could ignore it as I was too busy touristing in the day and just needed a comfortable bed to knock out in

The location is good, very close to the subway system. Internet works well and the staff is relatively helpful

They have implemented an annoying system to enter the premises and your room: you have to download an App, fill in a lot of info (it's time consuming) and eventually they'll send you the digital keys that you have to use all the time. Sounds amazing but in reality it's a pain in the neck! You'll have to carry your phone everywhere you go otherwise you won't be able to re-enter your room, which is annoying, you can never leave it in the room charging. One day, at 5am, during a short trip to the bathroom, the key stops working, and I have to patiently reset the system, receive new passwords and wait to re-enter the room. Unbearable. Alternatively you can memorize the different key codes, which I have no patience for. The receptionist leaves the facilities at 9pm, after that you're on your own. Also cleaning should be improved, for instance in my room (private), the floor beneath the bed was filthy.

Nice staff. There is free tea and coffee available in the kitchen.

Several beds did not have some items, be it duvet cover, pillow, etc, so we had to ask for them at reception. There was little room for the luggage though there were individual lockers. The common room is not like in the pictures. There is no couch, just tablets with hugh chairs which are very uncomfortable since they are too high for the tables. There is no place to chill or sit comfortably. The bathrooms are not very clean.
